It is an extraordinary feat to collect data and edit each school of thought. The Oxford Journal
This volume covers the philosophy and practices of the Bhagavatapurna and Madhva and his followers as well as the philosophy and practices of Vallabha, GauOE?ya and vaisnavism. Nothing has been published yet on the philosophy of Vallabha and the Bhagavatapurana. However, there has been no publication about the philosophy of Vyasa–tirtha or Jaya-tirtha, the great Madhva school teachers. Many believe that the monism of Sankara is the end of Indian thought. The strength and impressiveness of the dualistic position will be apparent to readers of this volume, who will be introduced to Jaya-tirtha’s philosophy and Vyasa -tirtha’s. Vyasa–tirtha’s logical skills and deep understanding of dialectical thinking are almost unrivalled in Indian thought. The present volume’s treatment of Madhva’s philosophy and those of his followers will shed new light on Indian thought. It will also present new aspects of dialectical logic that have not been explored in Indian or European thought. This book is intended to provide an overview of Indian thought purely on the basis the original texts and comments. Sometimes, however, the author may have borrowed or discussed the views of others writers when assessing chronological facts. The material covered was often completely new. This has happened because the author did a thorough and direct study of all manuscripts and texts available. This work is available in five volumes. Vol. Vol. It also includes the philosophy of Yogavasistha and the Bhagavadgita, as well as speculations about medical schools. Vol. Vol. III provides an in-depth account of the Principal Dualistic & Pluralistic Systems, including the philosophy of the Pancaratra and Yamuna and Ramanuja, Nimbarka and Vijnanabhiksu, as well as philosophical speculations about some selected Puranas. Vol. IV is concerned with the Bhagavata purana, Madhva, his School, Vallabha and Caitanya as well as Jiva Gosvami, Baladeva Vidyabhusana and Madhva. Vol. Vol. Saiva Philosophy is found in the Puranas as well as in other important texts.
