Born in 1949 at Sirsi, in Northern Karnataka, Raghunandan was introduced to SriRamakrishna Born in 1949 at Sirsi, in Northern Karnataka, Raghunandan was introduced to Sri Ramakrishna-Vivekananda literature and to spirituality in his Pre University- year, at his maternal uncle?s place at Puttur (South Karnataka). He earned his B.Tech. He graduated in chemical engineering from the Regional Engineering College Warangal, Andhra Pradesh. He met Swami Ranganathananda during the professional course, who was then the President of Sri Ramakrishna Math in Hyderabad. (Currently, the President of Sri Ramakrishna Math and Mission Belur, West Bengal). This gave him an insight into a different way of life. He made the decision to live a full-time life. After working for a few years in the Tamil Nadu Paper Industry, he decided to pursue a spiritual life. He had the opportunity to meet many experienced seekers and wise people during this time, which helped him clarify many of his fundamental questions. He was inspired to join Vivekandanda Khendra after this experience. He was a spiritually-oriented missionary in 1976. He was its Zonal Organiser and Organising Secretary, as well as Joint General Secretary. In 1981, he married Vasantha. Yogavasistha Maharamayana, also known as Yogavasistha Maharamayana, has been a guidebook for earnest Sadhakas all across the country. This book is popular because it has a combination of Upanisadic wisdom and a story format. When a scripture is able to tell the truths of Upanisads using common man’s language and illustrated stories, it becomes relevant. Some believe Sage Valmiki wrote Ramayana to purify the mind and create a spirit of seeking in society. The story of Sri Rama is a shining example of ethical and moral behavior in an individual. It also gives a glimpse into ideal culture through Ayodhya. Only with a solid ethical and moral foundation one can build the superstructure of spirituality. Six Prakaranas have been used to tell all of the stories. This book was written as a study for a seeker. It aims to share the philosophy and practical hints in the book to other seekers not familiar with Sanskrit. This book is intended to inspire seekers to read the original text. It contains a wealth of practical wisdom. These essays offer glimpses into meditations on the golden scriptures and their relevance to our daily lives. The interpretation and perspective are not meant to be scholastic.
