A Walk to Remember
You stumble upon an amazing book every now and again. It may seem like many others but once you start to read it, you are amazed at all the hidden treasures. A Walk to Remember is one such book. NEW YORK SUNDAY POINT: Nicholas Sparks’ prologue to his new novel makes the presumptuous promise that “first you will smile, then you will cry.” But he delivers. His calculated ability to make you feel like a yoyo (try it out) Landon Carter, a well-meaning but shallow teenager, spends his time with his friends while trying to ignore adult responsibilities. Landon is then cast as the lead in the Christmas playLike John Irving’s A Prayer for Owen Meany. Sparks manages to maintain a delicate balance of humor and sentiment that is rarely seen. Although the plot is not the most original, the boy-makes-good story will be loved by all. You should look for movies starring beautiful people. Or, you can snuggle up with your tissues and let your inner child run wild. Nancy R.E. Nancy R.E. He is the author of thirteen New York Times number one bestsellers. All of Nicholas Sparks’ books are international bestsellers. They have been translated into over fifty languages. Eleven of his novels were made into movies: The Longest Ride (The Best of Me), Safe Haven, The Lucky One and The Last Song. Landon never thought Jamie Sullivan, the daughter of a Baptist minister in the town, would be someone he would fall for. Jamie Sullivan, a quiet teenage girl, seemed happy living apart from the rest of her peers. She cared for her father who had died, helped animals in need and worked at an orphanage. Landon wouldn’t have thought of asking her out but fate had other plans. He was left without a partner at the school dance and he didn’t know what to do. Landon learned truths that many people spend a lifetime learning about love, giving and the pain that comes with it. Jamie would teach Landon the depths and beauty of human hearts, leading him to make a stunning decision that would set him on the path to becoming a man. . .SKU: PRK0751538946 -

Abhinav Cinema

Adhunik Bharat Ki Dwandwa Katha
SKU: VPG8181433912 -

Ruskin Bond is one of India’s most beloved authors of children’s literature, The Adventures Of Rusty. Collected Stories was written by Ruskin. Rusty is an anglo-Indian boy whose character bears a close resemblance to the author as a child. In this way, it can be considered a semi-autobiographical, semi-fiction work which has been written in lucid English. The Adventures Of Rusty: Collected Stories features stories from the time when Rusty studies at a residential school located in Dehra. There are also stories in which Rusty is surrounded and captivated by nature’s infinitely beautiful creations. Uncle Ken is a character in this book who struggles to find a steady, well-paying job. Rusty plans on traveling 800 miles to meet Uncle Jim, a sailor. The stories are slow and laid back, but slowly immerse you in their world. The author’s non-judgmental approach to life is reflected in this book. Rusty tells stories about his experiences as a young writer in London and how he encountered a leopard. These stories are entertaining, adventurous, and most importantly, thought-provoking. These tales are equally enjoyable for both young and old readers. Afeem sagar
Rabindranath Tagore (1861-1941), was the youngest son Debendranath Tagore. He was a leader in the Brahmo Samaj. Although he was educated at home, he was not able to finish his education in England at the age of 17. He managed the family estates in his later years. This project brought him closer to common humanity and increased interest in social reforms. He also established a Shantiniketan school where he experimented with his Upanishadic ideas of education. He was a part of the Indian nationalist movement from time to time, but in his own visionary and non-sentimental way. Gandhi, the political father and founder of modern India, was also a close friend. In 1915, Tagore was made a knight by the British government. However, he quit the honor in protest at British policies in India within a few years. Tagore was a prolific writer in his native Bengal. His translations of his poems made him well-known in the West. His fame grew to a great extent, and he was able to travel across the globe on lectures tours and tours of friendship. He became the voice for India’s spiritual heritage around the world. For India, and especially for Bengal, he was a major living institution. Tagore was a prolific writer in every literary genre, but he was primarily a poet. Manasi (1890), The Ideal One and Sonar Tari (1994) are some of his fifty-odd volumes of poetry. The English translations of his poetry include The Gardener (1913), Fruit-Gathering (1916), and The Fugitive (1921). Despite its title, Gitanjali Song Offerings (1912), which is the most well-known, includes poems from other works. Tagore’s most important plays include Raja (1910), The King and the Dark Chamber, Dakghar (1922) The Post Office Achalayatan (1912), The Immovable Muktadhara (1822) The Waterfall, Raktakaravi (1926), Red Oleanders. His novels include Gora (1910), Ghare–Baire (1916), The Home and the World and Yogayog (299) Crosscurrents. He also wrote music dramas, dance dramas and essays, as well as travel diaries, autobiographies and musical dramas. The first was in his middle years, the second shortly before his death in 1941. Tagore left many drawings, paintings, and songs that he composed.
This collection includes some of Tagore’s most memorable stories, which helped India to be on the literary map. These stories, translated from Bengali into English, depict the human condition, in all its forms: love and loss; innocence and childhood; the city and village; the natural and supernatural. The most famous story is “The Cabuliwallah”, which was also made into a movie. It also provides an overview of the socio-economic conditions in Colonial Bengal.SKU: PRK0143415008
