The present book entitled ‘Inculcating values through textbooks’ is based on research work. Without the support, patience and guidance of the following people, this study could not have been completed. It is to that them that that I owe my deepest gratitude. The book entitled inculcating values Trough Textbooks is a study of English textbooks for secondary classes. Textbooks are a major educational tool for the students. These are not just teaching manuals, these  shape the mind of children in their formative years and have a profound influence on how young minds interpret reality. It is therefore, essential that textbooks portray the right knowledge, skill, attitude and values that makes the life of the individual purposeful and productive. In this book, the author has done a detailed analysis of inculcation of values in the English textbooks of secondary school curriculum prevalent in Bihar.
