The invasion of Pakistan in Chamb, Jammu and Kashmir on 1 September 1965 triggered a series o tank battles, counter-operations and operations. Only the bravery of the Indian Army soldiers and their well-executed strategic choices were able to counter the very real threat that Pakistan would lose Kashmir. The narrative recounts five battles fought between different regiments. It also highlights details not previously known and pays tribute to its unsung heroes.
