Only the first section of the book covers the anatomy and physiology of yoga, which are important for understanding how it works. A special note has been added in the form of tips “from yoga perspective” to help you understand different concepts and aphorisms about yoga. The second section of the book explains the traditional techniques of asana and pranayama, bandhas, mudras and kriyas (cleansing exercises), and their possible mechanism. This book will help you: (1) Learn the basic structure of the body. (2) To learn the basic concepts and mechanisms of yogic practices, as well as the physiological effects they have on the body. (3) To determine if we can modify these yoga practices using scientific information.
