The title of the book is intriguing and one’s attention is drawn to it naturally. One gets an inner feeling that this book contains material that is arcane, mystic & transcendental…….an exjaustive study by the author on the topic of intuition.” —- -The Journal of Religious Studies Vol. 35, No. 1 & 2, 2004
The title of this book indicates that intuition is an essential part of “mind’s existence” (i.e. The functioning of the human mind during the process of understanding and acquiring knowledge. Many thinkers in the world don’t like intuition, even though it is necessary for human understanding and knowledge. It is generally considered a nondiscursive or independent method of gaining knowledge. However, most rigorous thinkers believe that knowledge is discursive by nature. The above-mentioned view of intuition is widely accepted. This book attempts to justify the belief and use of intuition. It also explains its uses and nature, which is in line with the knowledge that rigorous thinkers consider knowledge. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan has described intuition as the core idea. Intuition, as it is viewed, can be described as an integral part of the mind that culminates in insight. Although the process does involve reasoning, the insight that results from it is not. Though intuition is not a form knowledge, it is one way to know that, along with reason, sense-experience, and revelation (in Heideggerian terms), makes possible knowledge and understanding.
