Although it is only a minor work as regards its contexts, the Vigrahavyavartani remains a key text for Madhyamaka and the early Indian dialectical tradition. It not only illustrates the dialectical approach of Nagarjuna, the founder of this school but also clarifies the concept of Voidness that has been misunderstood in India and Nagarjuna’s time. This text, long lost in India, was found by Rahula Sankrtyayana at a Tibetan monastery.
