Polemics between different philosophical schools are endless and a great way for adherents of their doctrine to get clearer. Each school has its own presuppositions on which their philosophy is founded. Advaita Vedanta philosophy rests on its central concept of avidya/maya. Everything else flows consistent and coherently because of its definition avidya/maya. Advaita’s doctrine is challenged by Visistadvaita Vedanta who uses its key concepts of prtak siddhi. Same holds true for Dvaitavedanta’s key concept of Bhheda.
