The play’s interest is primarily philological. It may shed light on the linguistic History of India. However, it will also be important for the History of Indian Drama. The play is rich in material that may be of interest to students of folklore and antiquities. Prakrt is the language used to write sacred scriptures in Jain religion. It is hoped that this volume will be a useful introduction to Prakrt, given the dearth of books available for students of the language. This edition’s main purpose is a linguistic one. The vocabulary was created with the intention of helping students learn Prakrit. The Karpura-Manjari contains four acts called Javanikantara. It describes how Candapala marries Karpura Manjari and contains four acts called Javanikantara. It describes how Candapala marries Karpura Manjari, the daughter the Kuntala King, and becomes a supreme sovereign. From the Play’s plot, we see the Adbhuta Rasa represented by Bhairvananda, a sorcerer, and his tricks. This is an older play by the poet. It was not performed at the request of kings, as his other plays were, but according to the wishes of Avantisundari, the poet’s wife.
