Indo-Bhutan Relations

The book has deals with the treaty of 1949, the first on which independent India concluded with Bhutan under which the latter consented to be guided by the Government of India in the conduct of her foreign policy. The book has also dwelt upon the geographical and military strategic positions of the Bhutan which, combined together, have always been an apple of discord for China, the neighbor which claims suzerainty over Bhutan. India's cordial relation with Bhutan and the Bhutanese reciprocal lean to India was, perhaps, one of the causes of the Sino Indian conflict in 1962. Collectively tried to study systematic development of relations between India and Bhutan as well as the modernization process going on in Bhutan.
