This book is quite in favor of all those who are interested חד the nature of ethical language that involves many ethical ideas and ideals and the consequent developments due to linguistic analysis of the ethical language It will hopefully keep them updated and well furnished with the different theories arising out of the analysis of ethical language. feel pleasure in having the opportunity to say that my thesis entitled "A critical study of Twentieth Century Metaethical Prescriptivism" was submitted for Ph.D degree to the university department of philosophy of the then Bihar University, Muzaffarpur (Bihar), in 1980. After the offering of the degree in 1981 with recommendation for its publication, it remained caged in the university department for long without any further use of it. I realized in due course that it must have been taken out of the cage and placed in the glaxy of intellectuals for their enrichment and better use. Accordingly, it was reformed and transformed into "Metaethical Precoriptivesm" to come out in book-form.
